  • Overview

    Assist the Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Assessment, the Associate Director of Curriculum, and the Assistant Director of Assessment and Accreditation with the administrative and technical aspects pertaining to curriculum, course review and approval. Provide additional administrative support for the university-wide programmatic assessment process and the accreditation procedures. Assist with development, editing and updating of online curricular and assessment handbooks and websites.  Provide administrative and technical support with other operations of the Provost's Office as directed, and perform other duties as assigned.  Maintain calendar/schedule of meetings for Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Assessment, provide support for Provost's scheduling in absence of Provost's Secretary.  Manage the Course Submission database signature process and posting final new courses/course alterations to Canvas for distribution to the campus community.  Correspond with faculty/deans as necessary throughout the process.  Assist Associate and Assistant Directors of Curriculum in the review of proposed curricular actions (new programs/program alterations) pertaining to their implementation.  Follow through on official matters pertaining to the administrative aspects of courses and programs.  Assist Associate Director of Curriculum and Assistant Director of Assessment with editing, development, and uploading of materials on the university website.  Assist the Assistant Director of Assessment with correspondence related to the University Assessment and Accreditation processes.

     

    Responsibilities

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform Provost's Office duties as assigned by the Associate Provost and/or Academic Programs Coordinator.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Management retains the right to add or change Job duties at any time.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; excellent communication skills both written and verbal required; Excellent computer skills Including but not limited to the ability to work with Word, Banner and databases.
    • Ability to meet and maintain deadlines during peak activity periods
    • Ability to take initiative in assuming, organizing, planning and executing administrative work to completion in an effective, efficient manner
    • Ability to develop positive working relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the university community.
    • Minimum of one year In an educational administrative setting.


    PREFERRED:

    • Two or more years In an educational administrative setting.
    • knowledge of Courselea f, DegreeWorks and Word Press.
    • Knowledge of University policies, regulations and procedures related to major responslbllltles of the Academic Affairs Unit. Ability to assist University administrators, faculty, staff, and members of the public in these area s where appropriate.
